Trustworthiness Before Flexibility
I recall talking with a four-star general about planning for war. He believed planning was very important but also understood that all plans are subject to change as soon as the shooting begins. Consequently, in preparing for battle, developing a war plan is important but not nearly as important as cultivating a culture of trust and discipline.

What kind of loyal are you?
In our office, we utilize what we call the 10 percent rule. I learned of this approach from Bill Hybels, who observed his staff would tell one another 90 percent of the truth and stop short…. He asked them to give one another “the last 10 percent.”
